GAMIZOV: BULGARIA'S CONDITION IS SO BAD,
IT CAN NOT BE REPAIRED WITH REFORMS

8th june 2008

In Bulgaria many people and politicians violate the constitution, expert Stefan Gamizov announced on New television - Bulgaria.

As the greatest example he indicated Sofia mayor Boiko Borisov, calling himself the informal leader of the Gerb party. “There is no such thing as an informal leader of a party, as there is no informal spouse", he specified. Gamizov has founded a Foundation in 2004 with some colleagues, established in Washington and with the purpose of preventing corruption and evil practices in Bulgaria.

According to him, Bulgaria is in such a bad condition, that it cannot be made well with reforms, but must return to the thesises of medieval Europe from 1517 – from the time of Lutherans. The political class is dead in Bulgaria, it does not even agonize, and the only thing that it does at the moment, is it to spread contagions, Gamizov considers.

Bulgaria does not need reforms, it needs a complete reformation, for the corruption becoming a way of life, he added. There is no more Left or Right political inclinations in Bulgaria anymore, as the political entities gather only to decide the financial problems of their leaders.

Among the most corruptive transactions done, Gamizov mentioned the AEZ “Belene” project and the land changing. According to him DPS (Movement for rights and freedoms) is “deeply in corruption”, and the leader of the party Ahmed Dogan is an ill functioning democrat, because he observes the law to some extent. Simeon Saxkoburgotski has a very negative position in my eyes, because he ended the normal democratic processes and entered curious form of leadership, that did not exist anywhere else in the world, Gamizov told.

Prime minister Sergei Stanishev is one of the democrats in Bulgaria, according to Gamizov, because he is trying to follow his constitutional authorities, while President George Parvanov tries to be more influential in society than the constitution permit.

Stefan Gamizov expressed hope that there won't be pro-term elections, because they would put an end of the transition. It was so directed, that it ends with a big disaster. Let us do something during this year, to prepare for this catastrophe, the expert added. /BGNES
