Policemen from Slovakia force and maltreat gypsy children
24th june 2009

Hello dear friends!

I would like to share this video material with you (below), which shows the attitude of policemen (organs of “order” and “security”) from Slovakia, who maltreat and force gypsy minor children.

Obviously, those are children abandoned by their parents, or without parents and relatives; maybe they did a theft or something hooliganish? Every administration of penalty or the administering of sanctions and penalties against minors must be according to the principles in the respectful law matters. Namely, the actions that the organs of order must undertake against the minors must be educational-correctional. I tried to justify to a degree the actions of the organs of “order” while I was watching the material. But deep down in me I know that this is too extreme an action, I would even say abusive, against those minors. According to the criminal code concerning the minors, the actions the organs of order are to undertake must be educational. But I can’t see any constructional or correctional measures for the education of these children. Maybe for these policemen this forceful measure is their way of correcting and educating. I am even ashamed to qualify the ethnic background of these children. But dear friends, I have to do this; those are gypsy children and they are like toys in the hands of psychically ill men with uniforms. For these abandoned children, who can’t protect themselves, the only thing left is to enter into the role set by their “screen-play writers” – the policemen. Where is the State that must take care for the condition of these children and the way they grow up? Yes! The State is being represented by the organs of order, who presumptuously and anti-socially administer justice.

These violations are not only in Slovakia, but in Bulgaria also, and maybe in most European nations as well. Bulgaria and Europe have much to repent for their actions against the gypsies. To compare us with animals and imply on us different crimes not proven, is a form of humiliation and utter disrespect of human rights and the rights of the minorities. Let us not allow the politicians to wash their criminal hands with us, dear gypsies. Let us not allow the children to suffer and be humiliated naturally and emotionally.
